I had the greatest dream last night. It was a crossover of VC and Inuyasha characters (Inuyasha sucks).

Kikyo was Marius's mistress or concubine, something of the sort. Mael was their bastard son. The main dilemma was that Kikyo was not a vampire and Marius was unwilling to perform the dark trick on her, but he had to dispose of her in some way. He somehow coerced Mael into poisoning his mother in incremental amounts by administering it to her meals. Kikyo being oh-so sage like and wise knew she was being poisoned and consumed the food anyway. I'm guessing she did so because she would ultimately become a vampire anyway.

It doesn't make any sense, but that's a dream for you.

I tend to think patches are tacky because half of the time people don't know wtf the patches are advocating. Like this one kid I spotted on campus had a shirt with a picture of Karl Marx on it which said something along the lines of work and the common man. I asked "hey is that Marx?" He had no idea what I was asking him. -_-;
On his behalf, perhaps it just looked nice and he agreed with the quote, but if I'm going to wear something with symbols on it I have to know what it represents. If you don't know who ACDC is then don't walk around with a bag that has ACDC written across it some 5,000 times (true example). It's as simple as that.

Though I'm not going to be a douche and confront that person , like I witnessed when I was at Trash & Vaudeville. Girl was wearing a rosary (note she was not dressed in black or anything like that), one of the workers approached her and asked her if she was religious. She says no, he then calls her out on it. I admit he had a point, but it's none of his business what and why she is wearing what she is. His job is too keep the store clean and assist customers not alienate them. The girl should have known better though. These people pride themselves on being on the fringes of society and are very vocal about it. It can be irritating sometimes, but meh-- "to each their own".

I've changed my layout, btw. I thought it was fitting.

I finally saw Final Destination 4. I loved it, it was very gratuitous. :D Antesh and I snuck in a load of candy and Slim Jims. I hate to see people being stabbed/poked in the eyes so when the particular scene came about I was shielding my own. I LOL'd when the redneck accidentally set himself on fire. Drinking cheap liquor makes you more flammable! The escalator scene played on one of my biggest fears. Thank you movie!!
I also went job hunting, got some applications and am working on revising my resume. The Olive Garden in Times Square is hiring and I spent some time speaking with the host. Hopefully he'll remember me and I could claim him as a recommendation. I have midterms and projects due this week so I don't think I'll be online much.

I finally got my confirmation from FIT. I have admission essays to write and portfolio to create.

I haven't much else to do, and I've kind of been avoiding Antesh. I'm hoping she gets the hint, and I think she does because she sent me a text which read "Okay love! Maybe I'll visit you sometime next week!"
( stroll through the past :) ) As it is fairly common occurrence between the older and newer generation of DEG fans, there is a big argument about which is better: the older, garter-wearing, heavily made up DEG; or the newer "black-metalish", westernized, Adidas track suit wearing DEG. I was fine with it all, one cannot expect them to run around in women's clothing forever, but the last album was a big disappointment for me. It seemed like they tried too hard to be Metal. People claim that the vocalist-- Kyo, changed his style of singing due to the fact that over the years his screaming pitch ruptured an ear drum and damaged his vocal cords (this is true). He now sounds like a rabid monkey. =_= I still can't help but experience a swell of adoration when I go through their old videos and albums. What would my world be like without them?

I had a lot of fun today! There are 2 girls in my honors program that I made friends with a couple of weeks ago, Kai and Maria. Kai is really nice Asian girl and Maria is a really nice Hispanic girl (the only Hispanic friend I've made on campus!) . We are the only non-Jewish people in this particular class. :X A problem that the program has been under fire for for the past couple of years. A great majority of the professors teaching the courses are also Jewish as well as the program director. A lot of students claim there is obvious favoritism in the classrooms, or so I hear.

According to Maria, one of my professors: an older Italian-American gentleman whom teaches speech/communication, became upset because at the obvious segregation in one of his classrooms. It was a relatively small class, but these particular Jewish girls would sit together at the back of the classroom. He often makes the class separate into groups so this became a noticeable problem. When he asked if they were associates from a previous school, a girl denied this, to which he remarked that if they were so good at making friends then they would have no problems being placed into different groups! :D This makes me kind of love him a bit more. If I were a professor I think I would do the same. School is where young people learn most of their social skills and this class focuses on forms of communications. He is doing his job!

Anyway after class Maria and I went for coffee at Dunkin Doughnuts and we had an amazing conversation about our experiences. We both experienced alienation from both ends of the spectrum. I also discovered that I am not alone in my HATRED of these extremely stereotypical optimum online commercials. I thought maybe it was just me overreacting, but I learned that there have been numerous complaints/petitions against them.

In case you haven't seen them:
Ladies at the hair salon ---> A Hispanic hair salon in nyc. Word gets out that Optimum online has cheap prices. The ladies are so excited that they rip off their smocks to reveal the tight spandex underneath and begin to DANCE to some salsa. One of them is so thrilled she gets a hair weave installed advertising their affordable prices.

Puppet family ---> I haven't the words.... Family and their talking pet Chihuahua do what else but DANCE to some salsa!

Rapping pirates of the Caribbean ---> The title explains it all. Famous fat rapper, one of whom is dressed like giant sea lobster. Sexy mermaids begin to Dance to some --surprise--  salsa! At one point a mob of Hispanic refugees  pirates swim to shore and begin to pillage the land of cheap cable television!!!  Without a doubt the most annoying commercial to ever air on the East cost.

This is HILARIOUS! Someone made a parody of Hitler's reaction to the latest Kanye West controversy.

You Are Bill

You are a complex and often misunderstood person. You have a bit of a tortured soul. You are extremely old fashioned, well-mannered, and polite. In many ways, you are a fish out of water. You have many people in your life pulling you in different directions. You try to do the right thing, no matter what. Seriously, if some 40 year old plays Armand, I cannot be held accountable for punching whoever's sitting next to me in the face.

I'm very proud for Sotomayor(sp?) and her ascension to supreme court justice. It's about time I had a proper role model to look up to besides J-Lo.

Maybe now we can stop those incredibly racist optimum online commercials which have hispanic rappers dressed up in lobster suits dancing around to salsa music with scantily clad women.

Today was the best day EVAR. I might have a job with Miss Sixty. The manager said she really liked me, and the assistant manager that introduced me to her was really hot. :D I go back again tomorrow to fill out some paper work. People were dancing to MJ's music in the streets. I videotaped one goth chick dancing on top of a fire hydrant. I also took a picture of his figure at the wax museum and bought some lovely commemorative t-shirts for myself and my father.

Edit: I hope anyone that made fun of him claiming he liked fucked little boys, feels like shit. And that's putting it nicely. You helped contribute to the man's decline and eventual death.

May he finally rest in peace.

A few Years ago I saw the "shockumentary" film Party Monster, about the true life story of the rise and fall of New York City's Club kids scene, and their notorious leader Micheal Alig.

So, I read the autobiography Disco Bloodbath, upon which both the shockumentary and movie are based. I finshed it at 3 am this morning and heaved a huge sigh of relief. It was soooo good. Very psychological/ Dark comedy, which I just love!

Who knew Club kids, that did nothing for a living but party and shoot up, were sooo literate and articulate, JUST DAMN INTELLIGENT!

There wasn't a day that went by without me reading this book. It will haunt me for years to come. Before I started reading this, I was struggling with the question of whether of not I could really live a life of mediocrity. Is this kind of life for me? That's exactly what happened to the characters in this novel. They forgo their identities altogether, started a scene filled with gender bending, drugs, and a rigid social hierarchy. They created a world of their own to escape reality. It was fun at first until somewhere along the way they partied a bit too hard and just like any other scene-- it ended...( My favorite excerpt from the memoir. )

Yesterday I went to the Wednesday 13 concert. I was very lively. Tom caught a drumstick and gave it to Antesh. I met the band after the show and they all signed the drumstick. I got into a fight with this fat bitch in front of me. Antesh's stalker was also there.... something very dramatic after the show...

I'll write about that in a later entry, right now I have a ton of business class HW.

P.S. I went to speak with my counselor about dropping my chem class. She claims if I drop it, I must drop it after a certain date (for an official withdrawl) or else I will lose my TAP (state financial assistance). After I drop it I have to take summer courses to make up for the credits I will miss in this semester, if not--I won't receive TAP for this fall coming up.
